Edinburgh Fringe 2008 Promotional Video
It's time...

Find out what Alcock Improv were doing before they got 'the call'...
'In-joke': See if you can spot a few members of Alcock Improv in the background during Adjoa's time-lapse shot

date - 'This House Would Do Anything for Money' at the Cambridge Union
whole thing - (Will - Jess - Nate)

Blimps, water and all things non-money related helped Alcock beat the evil forces of non-capitalism and The Oxford Imps, convincing the audience that money (or monkey) really was the most important thing. Ever. We've only put up in separate sections the bits Alcock Improv did, but you can watch the whole thing by clicking 'whole thing' above. And if you do, we promise that Nate's water-pouring at the start of his speech makes sense.
'In-joke': We'd certainly never lose control of the blimp and have to fish it down with a microphone stand...

18/3/2008 - Bristol
Broken into parts - (1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8)

Ramming as many people as possible inside Bristol Grammar School as possible, Alcock struggled with squids, shoes and a lack of knowledge about organic chemistry, but somehow found a way through it all. Oh, and a few jokes about Guy Martyn's chest hair.
'In-joke': Wonderful, lovely Adjoa, where were you? Where were you?

15/1/2008 - Alcock Allstars
Incompletely broken into parts - (1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - more to follow, check back soon)

Opening their critically-acclaimed Alcock Allstars run, Alcock take us to a world filled with talking oranges, "the steamroller" and Postman Pat.
'In-joke': Orangery? What idiot would take that suggestion? Probably the same idiot who suggested they opened with conducted story. Oh well, it was still funny...

11/8/2007 - Edinburgh Fringe

Never ones to turn down a challenge, a novel solution to frostbite was found in the form of replacing vital organs with cardboard. Sounds stupid, but believe me it was incredibly well-worked-in. At least they weren't Volvo components, I suppose.
' In-joke': Health and safety be-damned given our penchant for 5am pizzas

10/8/2007 - Edinburgh Fringe

"Hi, welcome to what women love to do - that's right, clean the toilet", "he can't play manly games like volleyball" and "he can smell your fear through his tiny, inefficient nostrils" are just a few of the phrases that will make complete sense if you watch this video.
'In-joke': a walk home involving the Oxford Imps and a guitar has to be the highlight of this evening

8/8/2007 - Edinburgh Fringe
Incompletely broken into parts - (1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 8)

Of all the suggestions we have ever received on stage, this performance had the most terrifying: William Butler Yates. Watch the second game, 'police confessional', for what is possibly one of the funniest runs of this game we have ever performed.
'In-joke': We got locked inside the venue at the end of this particular show...

7/8/2007 - Edinburgh Fringe
Broken into parts - (1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9)

Whatever did happen to that kid who tried to recite pi to several hundred thousand decimal places? Did you see that new Tarrantino film set on the Royal Mile about those people who kept jumping through windows? Alcock did...
'In-joke': There were a lot of important people in the audience that night, though sadly none of them were reviewers...

13/2/2007 - Pembroke College
Broken into parts - (1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6)

Ben's first show ever! And he was hilarious! Somehow, Tom managed to get a nosebleed in the middle of 'diving reflex' this time, which was quite terrifying for everyone bar him, since a healthy dose of adrenaline seemed to keep him unable to feel anything.
'In-joke': Ben was absolutely wetting himself - look at the first game and notice the delay before he joins in, and the pause after he's clapped as he's approaching. Genuine fear. But look at him now!
